Dative Case with Adjectives
This chapter is a continuation of Chapter 5, so there's not really any new grammar here. The only new wrinkle is that we are seeing the Dative Case used with the adjectives cāra, amica, grāta, and proxima. This makes sense when you think of their meanings ("dear (to ___)", "friendly (to ____)", "pleasing (to ___)", or "near (to ___)".
